Care of your pet’s teeth is very important, but can be challenging. We stock a range of products to help clean your pet’s teeth and offer free Nurse consultations to help you choose which is best for you. 

Even with regular tooth brushing many pets require dental treatment from time to time. Dental Scale and Polish is performed under general anaesthesia, in order to clean the teeth safely and thoroughly. 

Your pet will be booked in as a day patient at the Chepstow surgery, after an assessment with the Vet. It can be very difficult to give a price estimate for dentistry until a full examination is made under anaesthesia, which may include dental X-rays to look for problems below the gum line.

Teeth may need extraction if they are loose or painful and can require stitches in the gums. We do not perform fillings- if these are appropriate you would be referred to a Veterinary Dentist.
