  • What is Physiotherapy?

    • Physiotherapy is a profession focused on maintaining and improving movement and function. 

    • Physio can help maximise your pet’s mobility and quality of life when they have been affected by an injury, disease, neurological or musculoskeletal condition.

    • We take a holistic or ‘whole pet’ approach to assessment and treatment, which includes general lifestyle.

    • We work closely with your vet and other professionals to ensure the best quality treatment for your pet. 

    • Veterinary referral is needed before starting treatment.

  • How much does it cost?

    1st session - £80.00 (1-1.5 hours)

    Follow up sessions - £65.00 (45 minutes)

  • Will my Insurance Policy cover the cost?

    All insurance policies are different and we recommend you check directly with them. 

  • What to expect during your appointment

    • Your first appointment will last approx. 1- 1.5 hours. All follow up appointments last approx. 45 minutes- 1 hour.

    • During your appointment we will discuss your pet's needs before a thorough physical and functional assessment is carried out.

    • An individualised treatment plan will be devised for you pet. 

    • Treatment typically consists of manual therapy, exercise and movement, activity management and advice on lifestyle changes. 

    • The amount and frequency of appointments depends on each individual patient and situation.


  • Before you appointment

    • Arrive 5 mins early to allow your pet toilet and stretch their legs

    • Please bring high value treats or toys to help encourage your pet during the session


  • About Emily

    Registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT)

    Qualified as a human Physiotherapist in 2010 and completed a MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2015.

    Over 9 years experience working in referral hospitals and private practice treating dogs and cats.
